TEACHING STYLE

Yoga is powerful alchemy. I love how we can elevate our mood, make our body feel better, and increase our focus through it. I want to show you how strong you are; physically, mentally and emotionally. I teach all different styles of yoga classes, from power to restorative, Vinyasa to yin!

QUALIFICATIONS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS

I did my first teacher training back in 2011 and have been teaching full time since then! When it comes to learning, I’m insatiable. I’ve completed multiple 200 and 300 hour yoga teacher trainings, as well as countless other trainings and workshops with various teachers in Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, the US, and Europe, as well as teaching in all those countries/regions. During the lockdowns, I went back to school and am now a Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist, and learning Chen-style Tai Chi from an 11th generation master!

WHAT TO EXPECT IN MY CLASS

My movement classes combine long extended flows (think 20 minutes on the right side, followed by the left), with alignment based cues and fun transitions. When I’m teaching more Yin style classes, I like to give people options that help them find their edge, and then give them space to explore!

HOW I GOT INTO FITNESS

To be honest, it’s still hard to think of myself as working in fitness. I was never really an athlete and was more of a “professional sitter” (read: sitting at a desk) for years. When I started to notice my mobility and strength was lacking, I found yoga. Slowly, with dedicated practice, I noticed changes. These changes were small at first, but grew with time – soon I was as comfortable in a handstand as I used to be at a desk! This just goes to show that it’s never too late to start moving and to build your practice!

FAVOURITE WAYS TO SWEAT

It’s a toss up between a really sweaty Vinyasa class, doing Tai Chi, and running around the city with my miniature Schnauzer, Abbie!

FUN FACT

In the past 15 years, I’ve lived in 14 apartments, 6 cities, 5 countries, and on 3 continents! The only thing constant is change.
