Sweat on the Roof: Mobility Flow with Dustin Pym (55 mins)
Join us on Saturday, October 2 for an outdoor Mobility Flow class on the rooftop of the CF Eaton Centre! We are donating a free class to raise awareness and funds in support of the Canadian Cancer Society’s CIBC Run for the Cure.
The CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run that raises funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, and is the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause. This year’s event is on Sunday, October 3, so what better way to prepare and warm up for a big run than with a big stretch?
In this feel-good class, you’ll increase mobility, range of motion, and awareness by using breath and focused movements to stretch out the joints and muscles, build mind-body connection, and support full-body recovery. Refresh and recover after the class with a complimentary nutbar smoothie!
Class price: Donate what you can
Suggested donation amount: $20
S&T team fundraising goal: $1000
How to participate:
1. Book your spot — this is a donate-what-you-can class, but you will need to create an account with Sweat & Tonic, if you don’t already have one. Registration for this class opens at 5 PM on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
2. Once you’ve booked your spot, make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society on S&T’s team donation page. Our goal is to hit $1000 with a suggested donation of $20 per participant, but would appreciate a contribution in any amount!
Find us on the roof of the CF Eaton Centre:
Walking: From the Queen St entrance of the CF Eaton Centre, take the escalator up to the 3rd floor, turn right to take the elevators to P5, and walk outside to find your Sweat Fam!
Driving: Enter the parking garage from Yonge Street and take the ramp to the roof. Don’t forget to grab a parking pass from reception to use as payment for 2 hours of complimentary parking.
We suggest arriving at least 15 minutes prior to class starting, to ensure you have enough time to check in, find your spot, and get comfortable!
In the case of inclement weather or class cancellation, we will notify guests an hour prior to class start time.
What do I need to bring?
Just bring yourself, workout shoes, and a water bottle — and we’ll do the rest!
The Canadian Cancer Society invests the funds raised into breast cancer research, support services, health education and advocacy programs. Over the past 20 years, CCS and the former CBCF have invested over $360 million in breast cancer research; funding more than 1,400 scientific and community grants. With the help of donors like you, we hope to reduce the number of people diagnosed with breast cancer, reduce mortality for those who develop the disease, and improve the quality of life for those affected.
