The health and safety of our community is our top priority. We’ve made changes to S&T so you can sweat responsibly. Train with confidence knowing that our commitment is to our Sweat Fam: new processes and services are in place to keep you safe. As industry leaders, we have made the conscious decision to go above and beyond government regulations. This includes consulting with healthcare experts for new operating procedures, training our team in the latest COVID-19 prevention and management strategies, and investing in facility upgrades. Sweat and Tonic has been a home away from home to so many of you, and we intend to retain this sentiment as we build a new norm.

You’re in good (clean) hands. As always, our trained staff use hospital-grade disinfectants after every class and throughout the day in common areas. UV light sanitizer disinfects all yoga mats. Facility-cleaning industry leader Sierra Alpha has thoroughly disinfected all surfaces with disinfectants and electrostatic sprayers.
Breathe easy. We have upgraded our air ventilation with hospital-grade MERV 13 filters, which capture airborn droplet nuclei and other particles that viruses and bacteria are attached to. Our facility is also equipped with Energy Recovery Ventilators which exchange stale air from inside with fresh air from outside at a rapid rate.
We have reduced our overall capacity to 75%. Class schedules will ensure minimum overlap to reduce concentration and class sizes continue to be reduced to ensure a comfortable and safe transition.
Train with confidence. At 75% capacity, increased space is provided between guests in every studio so that you can sweat comfortably. Coordinated entrance and exit to and from studios will be monitored by our expert instructors to ensure adequate space. Masks are required in common areas, but may be removed in class.
You’re in. Book classes, events, Somadome and sauna sessions online and check-in at our touchless reception. Our booking system allows us to manage capacity within our facilities and ensures disinfecting after every class and session.
As highly contagious variants of COVID emerge, it is in the best interests of our team, guests, and business to put a vaccination policy in place.
Starting September 20, Sweat and Tonic will be following the recommendation of Toronto Public Health by requiring all indoor guests to provide proof of vaccination. This policy will follow Ontario’s vaccination policy that comes into effect on September 22. All indoor guests will be required to be fully vaccinated.
Please provide proof as soon as you can by taking the following steps:
I don’t know if I’m comfortable coming into the studio with increased capacity. What are my options?
We’d recommend booking a class during off-peak times (generally during typical office hours), as these classes tend to be less busy than before and after work. If you’re not ready for in-person classes, you can still get great workouts in with your favourite S&T instructors on Sweat on Demand! You can sign up here for a 1-week trial.
If I choose not to get vaccinated, can I no longer visit S&T?
If you choose not to get vaccinated, you will not be able to visit our indoor facility, however, you can join us for our virtual classes via Sweat Live or Sweat on Demand.
Are masks still mandatory indoors?
Yes, per the latest Toronto Public Health requirements, masks are still required indoors except when exercising inside a closed studio. Guests are still encouraged to keep increased spacing from others.
Is this a temporary measure until cases decrease, or is this forever?
This may be a temporary measure, and we will continue to update our COVID Protection Plan as the pandemic evolves.
What if I only have 1 vaccine shot?
Anyone not fully vaccinated will not be able to use the indoor facilities.
What happens to my credits/passes if I’m not vaccinated?
Credits can be frozen, or used for outdoor or virtual classes.
Will I need to show proof of vaccination at every visit?
No, once you have provided proof, we will update your account so we can confirm in our system when you check in for class.
Is proof of vaccination required for all indoor services, or only classes?
All indoor visitors, except those picking up a to-go order at the cafe or shopping in the retail area, must show proof of vaccination. This applies to all areas of S&T including classes, Tonic House, spa services, and all seating areas.
